Safe to say, I think, most of the members and guests who took advantage of the opportunity to tour a world-class facility were suitably impressed. The Automotive Centre of Excellence with its wind tunnels and climatic bays and research labs and stress labs and classrooms full of students and profs/engineers must be experienced. They can, and do, much more than automobiles. I don’t think they say no to anything. Not bad for the ‘shwa. Thank you UOIT and G.M.
We enjoyed refreshments courtesy of UOIT and heard how our Endowment impacts young lives. As well, Nell Ridley of the university updated us on expansion of the campus into downtown Oshawa. They’ve made a significant contribution to revitalization of the core.
Thanks to Melanie and Hedy for organizing this evening.
